Ashley Zehnder is an expert swimmer that has close to 20 years of swimming experience. She began swimming at the age of five when she joined the local Clearfork Swim Club in Lexington, Ohio. She has swum in local competitions in Ohio including the Ohio High School Athletic Association Women's Division Two Swimming and Diving Competition and the Ohio Cardinal Conference Swimming and Diving competition.
She competed for her high school swim and qualified for the state tournament on two separate occasions. After high school, she started to coach swimming, beginning at the Clearfork Swim Club in 2009 and 2010. She then became a Kent State Masers Swim Coach as a student at Kent State University. Ashley Zehnder coached at Kent State from 2010 until 2012.
Besides her experience coaching swimming and swimming herself, she also has a plethora of experience in swimming and water safety. She is a certified professional lifeguard, lifeguard instructor, water safety instructor, and a CPR-rescue professional.
Ashley Zehnder has certifications from the Red Cross in first aid, automated external defibrillators, blood borne pathogens, and administering oxygen. She currently lives in Houston, Texas with her fiancé. She works as a server in the area but has aspirations to be a civil engineer or work in the animal conservation or environmental conservation industries.
